Women's basketball's Sammie Jensen and men's basketball's Isiah Williams were named the Female and Male Student-Athletes of the Year.

At Utah Valley ...
SOPHOMORE ~ (2011): (INDOOR) Did not compete (OUTDOOR) Finished 42nd in the preliminaries at the NCAA Div. I West Meet in the javelin (38.26m)...Won the Great West Conference title in the javelin (39.43m)...Finished second in the javelin at the Bryan Clay Invitational (39.59m) and the UVU Open (39.83m)...Finished third in the javelin (41.37m) at the UNLV Classic.

REDSHIRT ~ (2010): Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons for UVU.

FRESHMAN ~ (2009): (INDOOR) Did not compete ... (OUTDOOR) at the GWC Outdoor Championships in Houston, Texas placed 2nd in the javelin throw (127'04.25") ... had a javelin throw of 119'10" at the SUU Invitational in Cedar City, Utah ... at the BYU Invite had a javelin throw of 118'01.25".

Before UVU ...
Prepped at Spanish Fork High School ... won Region her junior and senior year, took second place in State her sophomore year, third place in the State her junior year, and placed first in State her senior year all in javelin ... her team won Region four years in a row and took State once ... also played soccer in high school, was her soccer team's team captain as a senior, won an MVP Award and Honorable Mention twice.
