OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University's Aleina Eisenhauer-Winger and Zandea Nelson each brought home two first place finishes at the Second Annual UVU Collegiate held at the Hal Wing Track and Field.

Eisenhauer-Winger won 1500m (4:33.56) and the 5000m (17:52.89), while Nelson won the women's 400m (54.48) and the 200m (24.64).

In all, the Wolverines had a total of eight first-place finishes.

"We got some good marks and performances and hopefully it will springboard us into our meet next week," UVU track and field coach Scott Houle said.

Along with Eisenhauer-Winger and Nelson, Ivie Gonsalves won the 3000m steeplechase (11:34.57); Cliff Nielson won the 5000m (15.01.99); Mark Jones won the men's javelin (183-5); McKell Camp-Nielson (152-7).

The Wolverines also had several second-place finishes: Trevor Sharp (1500m, 4:01.91); Shelise Walker (800m, 2:15.82); Stephanie Christensen (5000m, 18:16.77); Ali Shields (triple jump, 35-06.75).

In other notable performances: Jessica Wilding (3rd, women's steeplechase, 12:14.61); Chris Dorton (3rd, men's steeplechase, 9:44.12); Jordan Nelson (3rd, men's 110 hurdles, 15.11); Anna Yeboah (3rd, 100m, 12.14); Drew Clarke (400 hurdles, 54.98); Jacob Brydson (3rd, 200m, 21.95); Ivie Gonsalves (3rd, 5000m, 18:33.64); Mike Felix (3rd, 5000m, 15:40.71); Maryn Pincock (3rd, discuss, 141-05.25); Lance Merrel (3rd, high jump, 6-02.75); Kelli Roach (3rd, javelin, 136-8).

The Wolverines are back in action next Friday when they host Idaho State in a dual meet.
