Pincock's Run at NCAA Prelims Comes to an End

AUSTIN, Texas -- Utah Valley University's Maryn Pincock finished fifth in her flight and 28th overall with a throw of 160 feet, 2 inches in the discus but failed to advance after action Friday at the NCAA Preliminaries at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas. Nicholas Taylor, who competed in the 100 meters (10.462 seconds) Thursday and just missed qualifying for the quarterfinals, finished 33rd overall (21.48) in the 200 meters and failed to advance Friday. UVU's Shelise Walker qualified for the quarterfinals in the 1,500 meters Thursday with the time of 4:30.16 and will compete Saturday at 5:45 p.m. Live results can be found here.
