Schedule

OREM -- After bringing home eight first-place finishes and 10 second-place finishes two weeks ago at the season-opening outdoor meet at UNLV, the UVU men's and women's track teams travel to San Diego for the 34th Annual Aztec Invitational.

Along with UVU and host San Diego State, Academy of Art, Brigham Young, Cal State Fullerton, Golden West, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Minnesota, North Dakota State, UC Riverside, South Dakota, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UNLV, Utah, Utah Valley, UT-San Antonio and Weber State are set to compete in the meet.

The meet begins Thursday, but competition for UVU athletes begins on Friday. Competition begins at 10 a.m. MT. with the 110m hurdles.

In Las Vegas, Aleina Eisenhauer-Winger led the Wolverines with a pair of first-place finishes in the 1500m (4:34.93) and the 5000m (17:34.38).

Also, Lance Merrel (1st, high jump, 6-0 ¾); Drew Clarke (1st, 400m hurdles, 56.17); Chris Dorton (1st, 800 meters, 1:53.59); Tim Rowberry (1st, 1500m, 3:56.00); Trevor Sharp (1st, 5000m, 15:14.60); Ivie Gonsalves (1st, 3000m steeplechase, 11:27.38).
