Orem, Utah - Utah Valley State will compete against local talent for the second consecutive week as the Wolverines head to Weber State to participate in the Javier's Wildcat Outdoor Open.

Joining the Wolverines and Weber State will be athletes from BYU, Utah, Southern Utah and Montana State.

This week's Javier's Wildcat Outdoor Open will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Stewart Stadium. The meet will begin with the field events at 10:00 a.m. and the running events will start at 1:00 p.m and end around 5:30 p.m.

Live meet results will be available on the Weber State athletic website weber.edu/athletics.

The field events will begin with the men's hammer throw at 10 a.m. along with the men's and women's long jump.

At 1 p.m. the track events begin with the men's steeplechase.

After this weekend's meet, UV athletes will head to both the Utah State and Mt. SAC meets next Saturday.
