April 18, 2012

OREM, Utah-- After enjoying meets in the state of Utah for the last three weeks, the Utah Valley University men's and women's track teams will travel to California for a trio of track meets this weekend.

Wolverine athletes will be spread between the Mt. Sac. Relays in Walnut, Calif., the Long Beach Invitational at Long Beach State, and the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific beginning Thursday and concluding on Saturday.

In the last three weeks, the Wolverines hosted the Second Annual UVU Collegiate at the Hal Wing & Track and Field and brought home eight first-place finishes. The following week, the Wolverine men and women edged Idaho State in a dual also at the Hal Wing Track & Field, while last week a small handful of athletes participated in meets at the University of Utah and Weber State University.

Following the meets this week, the Wolverines will have two more meets to prepare for the Great West Conference Championships set for April 10-12 in Houston.
