DENVER - Utah Valley University's Trac Norris and Aisha Graham have been named the Western Athletic Conference men's and women's track Athletes of the Week for May 5-11. The conference honors were announced on Tuesday by the league office and they are the first of the outdoor season for both Norris and Graham.

Norris, a sophomore from Panguitch, Utah (Panguitch HS), continued his strong season by winning the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Oxy Invitational in Los Angeles on Saturday. The Wolverine distance runner won the event with a blazing time of 8:59.94. Norris' sub 9-minute time in the steeplechase is also fast enough to lead the conference and rank him 37th in the West Region.

Graham, a sophomore from Katy, Texas (Katy Taylor HS/Texas State), posted a personal record time of 2:11.99 in the 800-meter run at the Oxy Invitational in Los Angeles. Graham's time in the event was good enough to earn her a 14th-place finish out of 53 competitors. Her time leads the WAC this season.

The WAC also recognized Idaho's Andrey Levkiv and Seattle U's Cali Cull as the league's field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. Levkiv, a senior from Renton, Wash. (Hazen HS), improved his WAC-leading mark in the shot put and became the conference leader in the discus throw at the Vandal Jamboree while Cull, a senior from Marysville, Wash. (Marysville-Pilchuck HS), broke her own two-year-old school record in the triple jump at the Ken Shannon Invitational.

Norris and Graham will be back in action at home this week, as the Wolverines will host the 2014 WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championship meet will run Wednesday through Saturday at UVU's Hal Wing Track & Field. For more information on the WAC Outdoor Championships Click Here.
