OREM, Utah -- The USTFCCCA announced the men's and women's 2012 Division I All-Academic Track & Field teams Wednesday and Utah Valley University's Maryn Pincock, Tim Rowberry and Shelise Walker were on that list.

A total of 431 student-athletes representing 148 institutions composed the men's group, while a total of 676 student-athletes representing 171 institutions composed the women's group.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).

Pincock maintained a 3.57 GPA in community health-health services administration; Rowberry maintained a 3.65 GPA in political science, and Walker maintained a 3.69 GPA in behavioral science-psychology.

In addition to the Scholar Teams of the Year, the USTFCCCA also announced the women's 2012 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams. A total of 171 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better.

The UVU women's team maintained a 3.45 GPA.

A total of 85 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better on the men's side.

The UVU men's team maintained a 3.12 GPA.
