CEDAR CITY, Utah - Utah Valley University's men's and women's cross country teams finished second (34 points) and third (44 points) respectively at the Color Country Invitational Saturday morning held at Cedar Ridge Golf Course in Cedar City, Utah.

UVU's men who ran an 8K course were led once again by the reigning GWC Runner of the Week, freshman Joshua McCabe. McCabe finished third overall with a time of (25:31.5). The Wolverines men had three other top-ten finishers, sophomore Jared Keller finished fifth (26:04.0), junior Derick Moody seventh (26:22.6), and senior Danny Moody eighth (26:24.5).

The women who ran a 5K course were led for the first time this season by freshman Stephanie Christensen, who finished third overall with a time of (19:12.0). Other top-ten finishers for Utah Valley's women include, freshman Krystal Harper who placed sixth (19:28.5), and freshman Angela Baker tenth (19:38.7).

In other team scores host school Southern Utah won the men's race with 25 points, Idaho State came in third with 71 points, and Dixie state finished fourth with a score of 118 points. In a very close race, Idaho State won the women's race with a score of 37 points, Southern Utah took second with 42 points, and Dixie State fourth with 120 points.

The Wolverines will travel home and have a couple weeks off to prepare to host the first-ever Great West Conference Cross Country Championships to be held November 1, at 10 a.m.
