OREM, Utah -- For the sixth straight year, the Utah Valley University men's and women's cross country teams have received All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Since becoming eligible for NCAA postseason awards, both teams have received the honor each season. Utah Valley was one of 146 Division I programs to have both the men and women obtain the recognition.
The Wolverine men, coming off of a WAC Championship in their first season in the conference, were one of 160 teams to garner All-Academic Team honors while the women were among 217 teams to compile a team GPA of at least 3.00 or better. Both the men and women at UVU had team GPAs of 3.22.
The WAC was well-represented as well, with the top five women's teams from last fall's all receiving the honor. The Wolverine men were one of three WAC men's programs to be named All-Academic.
