Runners Continue at Montana State
Sept. 14, 2007
OREM, Utah - Coming off a strong performance last week, the Utah Valley cross country teams look to continue the early season momentum as the Wolverines head to Bozeman for the 26th annual Montana State Invitational, Saturday morning at Bridger Creek Golf Course. The men's 5-mile event will start at 9 a.m., followed by the women's 3-mile race at 9:45 a.m. Competing teams include MSU, Montana, Idaho State, Weber State, Utah State, Utah, Wyoming, MSU-Billings, Carroll College, Rocky Mountain College and Westminster. "We are definately excited about the meet," UV head coach Scott Houle said. "There will be great competition at this meet. The competition will be a mix of teams we've already ran against along with some teams we haven't seen yet. Overall, I think it will be a good measuring stick for where we are at." Last weekend at the Autumn Classic hosted by BYU, both the men and women finished third against top-10 competition. After the Montana State Invitational, UV will have a week off before traveling to the Roy Griak Invitational in Saint Paul, Minn. Sept. 29.
