Cross Country Continues at Roy Griak
Sept. 28, 2007
OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley cross country season continues as the Wolverines head to the University of Minnesota for the 22nd Annual Roy Griak Invitational at Les Bolstad Golf Course. "This meet is the premier cross country meet in the country," head coach Scott Houle said. "Most of the top schools in the nation compete. It is fun for our kids to run against the best teams in the nation." Utah Valley had a week off after competing at Montana State two weeks ago. The Wolverines' Chase Englestead and Ayisha Mitchell have been consistent top-10 finishers in the early season. As a team, UV has had a strong showing early in the season with several runners finishing in the top-25. "This meet is a good gauge for where we are at at this point of in the season," Houle said. "It helps usget ready for the Independent Championships." After the Griak Invitational, the Wolverines will have two weeks off before the SUU Color Country Invitational on Oct. 13.
