NAPERVILLE, Illinois - Utah Valley's Joshua McCabe and South Dakota's Ramsey Fitzsimmons were named the Great West Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week, for the week ending Oct. 5, the league office announced on Wednesday.

McCabe captures his second weekly honor this season after leading the Wolverines to a first place finish at the UVU Invitational this past weekend. The freshman finished second among 54 competitors in the race, just three seconds behind BYU's Dan Hinckley. McCabe completed the 5K race with a time of 15:50. This is the second time on the season that McCabe has been the top finisher for the men's squad.

McCabe will once again try to lead the UVU men's cross country team this weekend as they as well as the women's team head down to Cedar City, Utah, October 11 at 9 a.m. at the Color Country Invitational.
