Cross Country Travels South to SUU

Oct. 10, 2008

Utah Valley University's men's and women's cross country teams are back in action this weekend as they travel to the Color Country Invitational in Cedar City, Utah Saturday morning.

The Color Country Invitational will be held Saturday at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course with the men's race starting things off at 9 a.m. and the women's race following after at 9:45 a.m. Competing against UVU will be host school Southern Utah, Idaho State and Dixie State.

The Wolverines men's team is coming off of its first victory of the season last week as they won the UVU Invitational. Top finisher freshman Joshua McCabe, who finished in second place overall last weekend, was rewarded this week as he was named the Great West Conference Male Runner of the Week for the second time this season.

After the Color Country Invitational Utah Valley will have a couple weeks off to prepare for the first ever Great West Conference Cross Country Championships. UVU will host the inaugural meets on November 1.
