NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the second time this year Utah Valley University's Shelise Walker has been named the Great West Conference Runner of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.

Walker was honored after finishing third of 56 runners in the Southern Utah Invitational with a time of 14 minutes, 41 seconds. The junior from North Ogden, Utah, led the Wolverines to a third-place finish in the 4K race that also featured runners from Idaho State, Dixie State and host Southern Utah.

Perri, a junior from Tomball, Texas, won the HBU/Puma Invitational last Friday with a time of 19:46 over the four mile course. The race featured 52 competitors and the Huskies won the team title over University of Houston, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M and Sam Houston State.
