OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University athletics has named Cross Country’s Trac Norris and Brooke Hodson-Davies the Perry Homes Scholar Athletes of the Month for October. Honored for both their academic and athletic prowess, the two will be competing at the 2013 WAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Seattle.

The two are also finalists for the Scholar Athlete of the Year award, given at the annual Wolverine Club Awards at the conclusion of each athletic year. The duo was recognized at Wednesday's Wolverine
Club luncheon.

Norris, whose sister Kalani Norris of the volleyball team received the scholar athlete award in September, has led the Wolverines on the course at both the UVU Invitational and the Montana State Invitational. After both performances he was named the WAC Athlete of the Week. A sophomore from Panguitch, Utah, Norris has a 3.65 GPA while majoring in exercise science.
