The Wolverines broke it open with a four-run eighth. Four different players each drove home a run including Hatch's second sacrifice fly of the contest.

Barto got the win for his first decision as a Wolverine. Joe Karlik took the loss and dropped to 0-2 on the year.

Utah Valley will have a full slate of games next week with a two-game, midweek series at No. 11 Arizona State starting Tuesday, before a weekend series in Northern California at Saint Mary's beginning Friday.
