OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University travels to Portland for a three-game series with West Coast Conference University of Portland this weekend. Games are scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. MT, Saturday at 2 p.m. MT and Sunday at 1 p.m. MT. All three games can be heard live on WolverineGreen.com.

The Wolverines went 1-3 last weekend at the Palm Springs Invitational, dropping three straight after opening with a win over Gonzaga on Friday, 6-2. UVU lost to No. 6 Oregon State (5-2) in the second game on Friday before losing a late lead in an 8-7 defeat to UC Riverside.

On Sunday, a late rally fell short in a 6-4 loss in a rematch vs. Gonzaga.

The Wolverines lost more than just the game vs. UC Riverside, as senior outfielder Sean Moysh will miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury in the ninth inning. Moysh, a returning first-team All-Great West Conference performer from 2012, had four hits in the game vs. UCR and was 7-for-15 with two doubles over the course of the weekend.

Utah Valley will also be without senior catcher Taylor Berg for 4-to-6 weeks following an injury he suffered in a collision at home plate vs. Oregon State.

Portland was swept in a four-game series at 5th-ranked Mississippi State over the weekend before notching its first win on Tuesday at Seattle, 6-4.

The Wolverines will play a two-game midweek series at defending national champion Arizona next Tuesday and Wednesday at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson.
