NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Great West Conference baseball series between Utah Valley and North Dakota, scheduled for April 19-21 at Kraft Memorial Field in Grand Forks, N.D., has been cancelled due to unplayable conditions caused by snow. The cancellation was announced Wednesday by the conference office.

With several inches of snow already on the ground in the Grand Forks area, and the forecast for more snow this week, the series had to be cancelled. The Great West office and administrators from both institutions discussed several options to get the games in, however, no solution was found. In accordance with Great West Bylaws, the games will not be rescheduled.

In 2011, all four games between UVU and North Dakota in Grand Forks were also lost due to snow. The Wolverines and UND have only played one time at Kraft Field, during the 2011 GWC Tournament.

The two teams will resume GWC play next week with North Dakota traveling to NYIT and Utah Valley hosting Chicago State.
