2014 All-WAC Baseball Release

DENVER --
The Western Athletic Conference announced its 2014 All-WAC Baseball teams on Tuesday and Utah Valley University sophomore Mark Krueger was named to the first team with senior Sean Moysh and sophomore Danny Beddes earning second team recognition.

Sacramento State junior infielder Rhys Hoskins was named the Player of the Year and Texas-Pan American senior Sam Street earned Pitcher of the Year honors. The Freshman of the Year award went to Sacramento State pitcher Sam Long. Sacramento State’s Reggie Christiansen was named WAC Coach of the Year.

For Utah Valley, Krueger -- a second team All-Great West selection as a freshman -- leads the team with a .295 average and 38 RBIs and is tied with Moysh and Craig Brinkerhoff with six home runs. Moysh, who was first-team All-Great West as a junior in 2012, is batting .292 on the year.

Beddes was one of four pitchers to be named to the second team. He is 4-4 with a 3.24 ERA and has gone 3-2 with a 2.22 ERA during WAC games. He has thrown two complete games including a shutout at regular season champion Sacramento State.
