OREM, Utah --
Utah Valley University baseball will hold its first Father & Son Camp on Friday & Saturday, August 10-11 at Brent Brown Ballpark in Orem.

The camp is for fathers and their kids, ages 7-14. The cost is $60 per person and $120 per father and son. Any additional kids will be discounted to $40 each. Friday's session will run from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday will run from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with lunch provided. T-shirts will also provided at the end of camp.

The goal of the camp is to create an opportunity for a father and his son to learn the correct fundamentals of baseball from Division I coaches and players. The father and son will be paired together in all baseball specific drills including throwing process, infield play, outfield play, and hitting.

The camp will include a group discussion of UVU coaches and the fathers that will be an open forum for the fathers to ask questions and discuss the process of baseball development for their sons.

It's also designed to give a father and his son the chance to spend quality time together, playing and learning a sport that they both love as well as the opportunity to play on a minor league field and have the experience of a professional baseball player.
