UVU Baseball Holding Junior Fundamentals Camp
Sept. 4, 2008
OREM, Utah - Utah Valley Baseball, under the direction of new head coach Eric Madsen, is holding its first Junior Fundamentals Camp this fall beginning on September 17th and 18th. Campers can register and pay online at utahvalleybaseball.com. The Junior Fundamentals Camp will have two sessions; 7-9 graders (intermediate) and 3-6 graders (youth). Each portion will run once per week for four weeks beginning September 17th and 18th. Each week will consist of hitting or defense & pitching as well as other fundamentals key to becoming a division I baseball player. The intermediate portion of the camp is for players in grades 7-9 and will be held on Wednesday's from 4:15-5:30 p.m. at Brent Brown Ballpark. "The intermediate camp is developed to accommodate the need of an age group that often gets overshadowed by special attention to younger and older players," said Madsen. "We wanted a camp geared towards this age group's needs at a critical time in the development of the player's baseball career." The youth portion of the camp is for players in grades 3-6 and will be held on Thursday's from 4:15-5:30 p.m. at Brent Brown Ballpark. "The youth camp is a great opportunity for kids who are serious about baseball and want to improve fundamentals with hands on instruction," said Coach Madsen. Both camps are limited to 50 campers in order for each player to receive the individual attention needed. Cost for camp is $100. Click HERE to register.
