OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University men's basketball team made its first appearance of the 2011-12 season in front of fans in the annual Green & White scrimmage on Wednesday in the UCCU Center.

"It's great to get out and have the players experience a game atmosphere," said head coach Dick Hunsaker. "Everyone got a chance to play and it helps to take the edge off for when the real games roll around."

The Wolverines return four starters from last season's 19-11 team that also went 11-1 in winning the Great West Conference regular season championship.

All-American Isiah Williams, Ben Aird, Holton Hunsaker and Geddes Robinson started all 30 games for UVU in 2010-11 and return along with seniors Rory Fannon, Keith Thompson and Kevin Woods.

Utah Valley opens the season on Nov. 11 at 4:30 p.m. against Simpson University before traveling to the University of Houston on Nov. 14. The Wolverines also host Grambling State on Nov. 16 and UMKC in Homecoming on Nov. 19 in a game that will be televised live on Fox College Sports nationwide.
