OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University takes its six-game winning streak to Texas this week for a pair of Great West Conference road games beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. CT against Texas-Pan American. The game can be heard live on 960 AM The Zone.

Thursday's game begins a four-game road swing in the Great West, where the Wolverines (13-10) sit at 3-0 and atop the standings as the only remaining unbeaten team in league play.

The Broncs (7-16, 2-1) defeated Houston Baptist by 10 points in their only conference game last week and are a last-second shot away from also owning a 3-0 GWC record.

"UTPA is another veteran Great West team," UVU head coach Dick Hunsakersaid. "They are shooting the ball very well and playing with a lot of confidence so far in conference."

The Broncs return the core of last season's team including leading scorer Brandon Provost, Jared Maree and Aaron Urbanus. All three are averaging double figures in league games. UTPA is the top 3-point shooting team in the GWC, taking and making more than any other team.

A career night from Geddes Robinson on the glass helped UVU pull away from NJIT in an 81-58 win last Saturday in the UCCU Center. Robinson matched the school record with 18 rebounds, Isiah Williams scored 26 points and Holton Hunsaker added 19 in the win. Utah Valley had a decided 55-27 edge on the boards and finished up January with a 6-1 record.

Robinson was named the Great West Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 17.0 rebounds and 11.0 points and posting a pair of double-doubles in two league wins.

On Saturday the Wolverines will play at Houston Baptist in a 7:05 p.m. CT tip. The Huskies host North Dakota on Thursday.
