Former Utah Valley University star Ronnie Price has signed free agent deal the the Orlando Magic. The guard, who played at Utah Valley from 2002-05, is a eight-year NBA veteran and played for the Portland Trail Blazers last season.

"Ronnie Price embodies all of the characteristics and values that are exemplary to a team," said UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker. "What a terrific men's basketball alumni ambassador."

Price played his first two seasons for the Sacramento Kings before a four-year stint with the Utah Jazz. He spent the 2011-12 season with the Phoenix Suns before signing with Portland prior to the 2012-13 season.

He was inducted to the Utah Valley University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010 and ranks as the all-time leader in scoring average (22.2) in the school's NCAA Division I history. He was the 2005 Division I Independent Player of the Year and received USBWA All-District 8 honors during his time as a Wolverine.
