Members of the Utah Valley University basketball team took time out last Friday night to spend time with some children at Friday's Kids, a non-profit organization providing respite care to families who have children with special needs.
The players and coaches spent individual time to play games, interact and give the parents of the kids a night out.
"It's great for the kids to get a new friend for the night. A couple of the guys were with a brother and sister who love to sing and dance and having a college athlete with them gives them someone to look up to," said Angela Avery, a Friday's Kids representative. "It gives the kids a chance to meet someone new and it also gives parents a chance to have a date night and to get a break."
