OREM, Utah -- Led by two-time second team All-Great West Conference selection Ben Aird, Utah Valley University had three players named to the 2012-13 Preseason All-Conference Team on Monday.

Aird was a first team selection while Holton Hunsaker and Alfonzo Hubbard each received second team distinction. NJIT's Chris Flores was the pick for Preseason Player of the Year.

Hunsaker, like Aird, also received second team All-Conference honors at the conclusion of last season while Hubbard was named to the All-Newcomer Team and was selected as the league's Sixth Man of the Year.

Aird had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds in the season-opening loss at IUPUI last Friday. Hunsaker led UVU with 15 points.

The trio helped guide the Wolverines to their second consecutive GWC title last season. Last week, UVU was the preseason pick by coaches to win the league for the third straight season.
