VERMILLION, S.D. -- Utah Valley University will wrap up a string of five straight road games on Monday at former Great West Conference foe South Dakota. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT from the Dakotadome and can be heard live on WolverineGreen.com.

On Saturday night, the Wolverines (2-4) got season highs from Hayes Garrity (18) and Mitch Bruneel (16) and led late at Tennessee Tech before falling 74-71 to the Golden Eagles.

South Dakota (2-3) has won two straight after dropping their first three games of the season, incuding a 112-85 win over Graceland (NAIA) in the home opener on Saturday. Eight players reached double figures on a night the Coyotes shot nearly 58 percent from the field in the lopsided victory.

"South Dakota puts a lot of 3-point shooting threats on the court," said UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker. "They play very hard and will give us a variety of different defensive looks."

Brandon Bos averages 13.8 points while Trevor Gruis is scoring 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. The ‘Yotes are coached by interim head man Joey James, who took over after long-time head coach Dave Boots retired in September after 25 seasons.

South Dakota owns a 3-2 series lead with all five games being played when both schools were members of the Great West. The teams each won two home games in four regular season contests with the Coyotes third win coming at the UCCU Center in Orem in the semifinals of the 2010-11 GWC Tournament.

Utah Valley returns home to host St. Katherine on Saturday, Dec. 7 before playing a pair of in-state games at home against Weber State (Dec. 7) and at Utah State (Dec. 11).
