OREM, Utah - Utah Valley University makes the short trip north on Tuesday to face Utah State at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan. The game can be heard live on 960 AM the Zone and on WolverineGreen.com with Jim McCulloch and Matt Peterson on the call.
The game will also air on KCSG TV (Comcast 114, DirecTV 44, Dish Network 37) and on ESPN3.com.
"Utah State has another exceptional team in progress this year," said UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker. "They're a preseason favorite in some polls to again win the WAC. We have a lot of respect for them and know they'll be well-prepared."
UVU is coming off of a 2-1 week with wins over Northern Illinois and Haskell University and a loss at Wyoming. In last Friday's win over Haskell, Alfonzo Hubbard led six players in double figures with 14 points, his high as a Wolverine.
Tuesday's game is the seventh meeting all-time between UVU and USU and the fourth played at the Spectrum, a place where the Aggies have won over 93 percent of the time under 14th-year head coach Stew Morrill. Utah State has won the six prior meetings between the schools.
USU is 3-4 on the year with wins that include BYU and Southern Utah. The Aggies have lost two straight including a 65-57 contest at Pacific on Saturday.
Utah Valley hosts Portland State on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. in The UCCU Center. It's Take a Kid to the Game night and all kids 12 and under can get in for free.
