OREM, Utah -- For the first time since Nov. 11, Utah Valley University will play a home game when it hosts St. Katherine on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. in the UCCU Center. The game can be heard live on 960 AM the Zone.

The Wolverines (2-5) played five straight road games in the latter part of November and early December, but will play five of its final six games this month at home. Utah Valley lost all five road games with the final three contest coming by an average of just four points per defeat. Most recently, the Wolverines were edged at South Dakota on Dec. 2, 71-67.

Zach Nelson leads six players averaging at least 8.6 ppg with 11.9 per contest in his freshman campaign. Senior Ben Aird, who is 23 points shy of tying Ronnie Price on the school's NCAA scoring list, is leading the team with 7.0 rebounds per game. With a start on Saturday, Aird will be the second player to start 100 games in a career at UVU after Holton Hunsaker did it earlier this season.

St. Katherine, out of the NAIA, is led by Dante Miller's 12.8 points per game. The San Diego school is guided by head coach Scott Mitchell. In addition to Utah Valley, the Firebirds also face two other Utah Division I programs in Weber State and Utah.

The Wolverines will play a pair of in-state games next week. Weber State comes to Orem on Wednesday, Dec. 11 before UVU travels to Logan to face Utah State on Saturday, Dec. 14.
