OREM, Utah -
Utah Valley will play the first of two in-state games this week on Wednesday when Weber State comes to the UCCU Center for the first time in eight years. The game tips at 7:05 p.m. and can be heard on 960 AM the Zone.
A live stream is available on WolverineGreen.com.

The Wolverines (3-5) and Wildcats (1-3) last met in Orem on Dec. 6, 2005 in a game that UVU won 68-49. Weber State leads the all-time series, winning all four games played in Ogden, with Utah Valley winning both contests in Orem. WSU has won three straight in the series.

"Weber State very athletic, skilled on the perimeter and physical inside," said UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker, who played at Weber State and graduated from the school in 1977. "They are always well prepared and do a great job of exploiting a team's weaknesses."

Utah Valley is coming off of an 89-37 win over St. Katherine on Saturday, in its first home game since Nov. 11. The Wolverines played five straight on the road prior to that game. Senior Ben Aird enters Wednesday's game seven points shy of tying Ronnie Price for second place on UVU's all-time NCAA scoring list.

Weber State had its most recent contest, scheduled for Saturday at Texas-Arlington, canceled due to an ice storm in Dallas. The Wildcats have not played since Nov. 30, a 72-55 win over San Jose State.

The Wildcats, who were picked to win the Big Sky, have played road contests at BYU and Colorado State and home against Utah State and San Jose State. Davion Berry is averaging 19.0 points per game for WSU with Jeremy Senglin and Kyle Tresnak at 12.3. Joel Bolomboy is scoring 8.8 and rebounding 9.3 per contest.

The Wolverines will next travel to Logan on Saturday to face Utah State in their second and final in-state contest of the season.
