Day 2 - Team
Day 2 - Individual
-- Through 12 holes Tuesday at the America Sky Conference Golf Championships, the Utah Valley University men's golf team, which entered the day in second place, was tied for the lead.
The last six holes, however, proved to be the Wolverines' down fall as they dropped to fifth heading into Wednesday's final round.
"We let a good round slip through our hands," UVU men's golf coach Chris Curran said. "The wheels fell off down the stretch."
Mason Casper, who was tied for 16th after the first day of action at The Dominion Country Club, birdied the final two holes for finish 1-under for the day to move into a tie for ninth at 1-over par.
Utah Valley's Brayden Eriksen, who lead after Day One with a 4-under, shot +6 Tuesday to fall into a tie for 12th. Teammate Stratton Schulz shot a second-round 75 to fall from a 12-place tie into a tie for 18th.
Despite shooting a 2-over 74, Michael Dart fell from a 21st-place tie to 27th, and Corey Eccles, who shot his second straight 78, is in a tie for 41st.
Southern Utah (+5) holds a one-shot lead over Houston Baptist, which held a nine-shot lead over UVU heading into Tuesday's round. Northern Colorado (+12) and Sacramento State (+12) are tied for third, followed by UVU (+13).
"We got to go out early and we need to go and post a good number," Curran said.
Final-day action gets underway at 8 a.m. (MT).
