Opening Round of America Sky Championship Canceled

NORTH FALMOUTH, Mass. - Due to heavy rain, the first round of the America Sky Championship in North Falmouth, Mass. has been canceled. The Utah Valley University men's golf team is one of eight schools vying for the conference championship. Play is scheduled to begin Monday morning at 8 a.m. at Ballymeade Country Club, weather permitting, but Hurricane Kyle is expected to continue pouring rain down on the New England area. The America Sky Championship is coinciding with the Hartford Hawks Invitational. There are 23 total schools competing in the Hawks Invitational. Wolverine senior Nick Nelson is the reigning America Sky Conference individual champion after taking home medalist honors in 2007 at Valley View Golf Course in Layton.
