Las Vegas, Nevada - Utah Valley shot a team score of 287 on Sunday and finished in 10th place out of 17 teams at the Shootout at Angel Park in Las Vegas.
Nick Nelson placed 15th for the Wolverines after a 1-under 70 on Sunday. He finished the tournament at +3. Andrew Smith shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday, the lowest score of the tournament for UV, and finished the 54-hole event at +6 overall.
The rest of the Wolverines competing were Nick Nelson (t-53rd, +11), Skyler Distefano (t-76th, +17) and Jeff Gibson (t-82nd, +19). Utah Valley's three-day total was 886 (+34).
UNLV took first place after shooting a three-round score of -12 (840), 17 shots better than Cal State Northridge.
Utah Valley is off this next week and will be back in action on October 15-16 at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Northridge, California.
