Neal in Fifth After Two Rounds at Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, California - Utah Valley junior Nick Neal shot a second round 67 (-5) and is -2 overall and tied for fifth place through two rounds at the Bill Cullum Invitational. The tournament, played at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, California will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. Neal is three shots back of UC Santa Barbara's Michael Casca, who is -5 for the tournament. The Wolverines sit at 13th place out of 15 teams after struggling to a team score of 315 in the opening round. UV made a significant turnaround in round two, with Nick Nelson shooting 14 shots better and Neal improving by eight shots to help the team to a score of 290, 25 shots better than the first 18 holes. Jeff Gibson is tied for 42nd at +7 with Nelson tied for 53rd at +10. Gavin Rice (t-68th, +15) and Andrew Smith (t-82nd, +20) round out the Wolverine golfer's scores.
