TURLOCK, California - Nic van Vuuren-s 1-under 71 propelled him from eleventh to fourth place on the final day of the George Buzzini Sr. Stanislaus Invitational on Tuesday. He finished just four strokes behind the leader making a nice run on the final day.

Four of the five Wolverine golfers improved their scores from the second round to the third round. Ben Ward shot a 3-over 75 to finish 53rd in the medalist standings. Milo Lines shot a 4-over 76 to finish 79th, Chris Cole shot an 11-over 83 to finish 89th, and Ryan Sausedo shot a 13-over 85 to finish 91st.
The Wolverines will travel home and prepare to play in the Cougar Classic on April 22-23. The tournament hosted by in-state rival, BYU will be played at Riverside Country Club in Provo.
