Casper, Schulz in Match Play at Utah State Am

SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Valley University golfers Mason Casper and Stratton Schulz have advanced to match play at the 114th Utah State Amateur.
Matches begin Friday morning at the Salt Lake Country Club.
After shooting rounds of 73-71, Casper is the sixth seed and will face 27-seed Jon Wright at 10:05 a.m., while Schulz, who made a magical run all the way to the finals last year, shoot rounds of 76-71 and is the 14 seed and will meet 17-seed Steve Poulson at 9:15 a.m.
Last year, Schulz got into match play with a playoff, and as the No. 31 seed beat No. 2 seed Casey Halliday; No. 18 seed Tommy Wingert; Cameron Edens and finally Greg Wojtkun to earn a meeting with Jeff Evans in the finals where he eventually lost 8&7.
