UVU Men's Golf Team Earns Prestigious Honor from GCAA

OREM, Utah -- The Utah Valley University men's golf team was one of 11 Div. I programs to receive President's Special Recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America Wednesday for maintaining a team GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Arkansas, Brown, Canisius, Harvard, Kennesaw State, Tennessee, Troy, Valparaiso, William & Mary and Yale were the others to receive the honor.

A total of 124 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition by the organization. To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
