UVU Lands 7 on ASC All-Academic Team
Aug. 2, 2012
OREM, Utah -- The America Sky Men's Golf Conference has placed 47 student-athletes on its 2012 All-Academic Team. The 47 honorees are the most in league history, and all 12 America Sky institutions are represented on this year's team. Seven were from Utah Valley: Michael Dart (Entrepreneurship); Brayden Eriksen (International Business); Clark Fredrickson (Exercise Science); Jeff Holmes (Business Management); Joey Olson (Speech Communication); Stratton Schulz (Business Management), and Nicholas Tarasiewicz (Business Management). "Golfers spend a great deal of time on the course and on the range, so time management is vital in academic success," said America Sky Commissioner Ed Grom. "I am proud to see that 47 America Sky student-athletes have overcome the demands put on them by the sport and have achieved this level of success in the classroom."
To be eligible for the America Sky All-Academic Team, student-athletes must post a grade point average of 3.2 or better during the academic year.
