At Utah Valley University ... JUNIOR ~ (2012-13): 16-10 overall record (5-4 duals) ... named Second Team All-WWC after placing second with a 1-1 record at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championships in Laramie, Wyo. on March 9 ... pinned Air Force's Jesse Stafford in the semis of the conference tournament in just 47 seconds ... began the season by winning the Cowboy Open on Nov. 3 with an unblemished 4-0 mark ... also wrestled well at both the Wolfpack Open on Nov. 11 and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite on Nov. 30 by going 3-2 at each tournament ... went 6-3 on the season against competitors from the WWC ... tied for the team lead in tech falls on the year with two and finished fifth on the team in victories with 16 ... also won two of his bouts by fall and 10 via decision.
SOPHOMORE ~ (2011-12): Did not compete due to an injury.
FRESHMAN ~ (2010-11): 15-8 overall record (0-0 duals) ... placed third at both the Northwest College Trapper Open and the Cowboy Open in early November ... went 4-1 at the Trapper Open and 6-1 at Wyoming's Cowboy Open ... also went 3-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open and 2-2 at the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational ... recorded 10 of his wins by decision, two by fall, one by major decision and one by tech fall.
REDSHIRT ~ (2009-10): Redshirted the 2009-10 season at UVU.
Before Utah Valley: Prepped at Pocatello High School ... a two-time State Champion ... placed at State all four years ... set the Pocatello High School Win Record with 166, as he went 166-6 in high school ... went undefeated his senior year with a 43-0 record ... team placed third in State in 2009 and second at Tiger-Grizz.
Personal: Graduated from Pocatello HS in 2009 ... expected major at UVU is Criminal Justice ... his brother wrestled at Western Wyoming and was an All-American ... enjoys beating Brad Darrington at everything ... chose Utah Valley because it's "close to home and has a great wrestling program" ... parents are Mark and Robin.
