NCAA Qualifier and became UVU's first-ever freshman to wrestle at the NCAA Championships ... went 1-2 at his first trip to Nationals with a pin (1:49) over Indiana's Joseph Duca and losses Illinois' Jesse Delgado (the National Champ) and Michigan's Sean Boyle ... placed fourth at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championships and had to win a true fourth place bout over South Dakota State's Aaron Pickrel to get an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships ... placed eighth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with a 3-3 record ... placed third at both the Cowboy Open on Nov. 3 and the Wolfpack Open in Raleigh, N.C. on Nov. 11 with identical 4-1 records ... went 3-0 in WWC duals and 6-1 vs. WWC competitors on the season ... ranked 16th in the final InterMat poll, 13th on the final RPI and 20th on the final Coaches' Panel Ranking ... led the team with nine pins and second on the roster with 21 victories ... also won one bout by major decision and 11 by decision.
