JUNIOR ~ (09-10): 23-11 overall record (6-5 in duals) ... NCAA Qualifier ... became UVU's first-ever conference champion as he won the 133 lbs. title at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championships in Brookings, S.D. ... was one of UVU's first-ever athletes to compete at any NCAA D-I Championship as he competed at the D-I Wrestling Championships in Omaha and wrestled his way to a 1-2 record ... named to the First Team All-WWC ... placed 8th at the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite ... won the 133 lbs. bracket at the NC State Wolfpack Open in Raleigh, N.C. and placed 3rd at the Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyo. ... named a member of the NWCA All-Academic Division I Team with a 3.78 GPA ... named to the WWC All-Academic Team with a 3.76 GPA ... picked up four pins on the year, three major decisions, and three tech falls.
SOPHOMORE ~ (08-09): 22-10 overall record (10-4 duals and 4-1 in WWC) ... named to the Western Wrestling Conference All-Academic Team with a 3.69 GPA while studying Business Management/International Business ... a team captain ... won the Best of the West Open at 133 lbs. while going 5-0 on Nov. 22, 2008 ... placed fifth at the Harold Nichols Open in Ames, Iowa on Nov. 15, 2008 including two victories over two grapplers from Iowa State ... picked up three victories and was only one win away from placement at the prestigious Midlands Championships in Evanston, Ill. on Dec. 29 ... went 3-0 at the Tracy Borah Duals in Gunnison, Colo. on Jan. 24, 2009 ... finished the season going 8-1 in his last nine bouts ... recorded six wins by pinfall, four by major decision and one by technical fall.
FRESHMAN ~ (07-08): 16-11 overall record (3-2 duals) ... named to the WWC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.93 GPA ... picked up three victories at the Cowboy Open, November 10, 2007 in Laramie, Wyo., as he went 3-2 on the day ... finished a combined 9-2 during an impressive two-day stretch November 17-November 18, 2007 at the Jack Hancock Invitational in Golden, Colo., and the Northern Colorado Open in Greeley, Colo., including winning six matches in the latter event.
