Wolverines Land 15 Wrestlers on WWC All-Acadmic Squad

Avery Garner and Josh Wilson made the WWC All-Academic Team while 13 other UVU wrestlers were named to the Coaches' Honor Roll.

UVU Hosts Defending National Champs in Front of Record Crowd

An audience of 5,470 filled the UCCU Center for the dual with Penn State.

At Utah Valley University ...
JUNIOR ~ (2012-13): Did not compete.

SOPHOMORE ~ (2011-12): 8-12 overall record (0-1 duals) ... named to the WWC Coaches' Honor Roll ... placed fourth at the Cowboy Open (Nov. 12) by going 4-2 at the tourney and sixth at the Colorado Mesa Open (Dec. 10) by posting a 1-3 clip ... also went 3-2 at the UVU Open on Jan. 7 ... posted one win by fall and seven by decision.

FRESHMAN ~ (2010-11): Sat out the year with a knee injury.

REDSHIRT ~ (2009-10): Redshirted the 2009-10 season at UVU.

Before Utah Valley: Prepped at Copper Hills High School ... went to State as a second year wrestler and placed fourth ... posted a 34-4 record his senior year ... also played football and basketball in high school.

Personal: Graduated from Copper Hills High School in 2009 with a 3.39 GPA ... on the Honor Roll ... enjoys camping and riding motorcycles ... also recruited by Snow College ... something unique is that "I can dunk a basketball even though I'm a heavyweight wrestler" parents are Scott and Laurie.
