OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University wrestling team will welcome Boise State to town for a much-anticipated rematch Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Activity Center. The last time BSU came to Orem, UVU knocked-off the then eighth-ranked Broncos, 22-20.

Live video from Thursday's dual can be found by Clicking Here with former UVU wrestler's Sam Allen and Flint Ray on the call. Live results will also be available through TrackWrestling by Clicking Here.

The win over No. 8 Boise State on Feb. 5, 2010, was and still is the biggest upset in school history for Utah Valley. In that dual, UVU picked up five victories, including three for bonus points that helped result in the victory. Flint Ray and Jeb Clark both won their bouts by fall for the Wolverines and Benjamin Kjar won his by major decision, while Brad Darrington and Josh Wood each won decisions.

The Wolverines and Broncos met up again last season in Boise and that time BSU got the best of UVU, by winning the dual 32-6. This season the Wolverines will be hoping to a similar outcome from two years ago as BSU is just 1-6 on the year.

"Boise State is a team that we want to be able to have a rivalry with and within a couple of years we feel like we can have that on a more consistent basis," said Wolverine head coach Greg Williams. "We enjoy having them come in and are really looking forward to wrestling them. They are a well coached team and we're looking forward to having ten really good hard-fought matches."

The Wolverines will enter the matchup with a 2-2 record on the season after splitting at the Wrestler for a Cure Duals in Pennsylvania back in November. There UVU defeated both Buffalo and Shippensburg but fell to two Big Ten member ranked teams in No. 8 Illinois and No. 13 Ohio State.

More recently Utah Valley won two titles and had eight wrestlers place at last weekend's fifth annual UVU Open. Newcomer Blake Mangum made his Wolverine debut by winning the 125-pound bracket. Utah Valley sophomore 141-pounder Glenn Terrano won the other title for the Wolverines.

On the year 149-pounder Josh Wilson, who recently jumped in the InterMat rankings from 12th to eighth, has led the Wolverines. The No. 8 ranked wrestler in the country is 10-6 on the season and 2-2 in duals and holds a number of victories over ranked opponents.

Also this weekend the Wolverines will head to the annual Lone Star Duals in Arlington, Texas to take on UT Chattanooga, No. 12 Oklahoma and Brown. The action will take place Saturday at South Grand Prairie High School and UVU will start the day against UTC at 11 a.m. CT/10 a.m. MT. The Wolverines will then take on the Sooners at 1 p.m. CT/12 p.m. MT and finish off against the Ivy League's Bears at 5 p.m. CT/4 p.m. MT.
