UVU begins the Great West Conference tournament Friday with a semifinal match against either NJIT or Houston Baptist.
At Utah Valley University ... SENIOR ~ (2012-13): Played in four games on the season, averaging 3.3 minutes per contest ... scored three points, pulled down five rebounds and dished out one assist on the year ... scored a season-high two points and grabbed two boards in six minutes of action against Wala Walla on Feb. 4.
JUNIOR ~ (2011-12): Played in three games for UVU, averaging 5.0 minutes per appearance ... scored a career-high six points against Walla Walla on Jan. 17 to go along with a career-best eight rebounds ... finished the year with a 2.7 ppg scoring average and a .667 field goal percentage (4-for-6).
SOPHOMORE ~ (2010-11): Appeared in eight games for the Wolverines on the season ... scored a career-high four points twice on the year, once against SUU on Nov. 26 and the other vs. UND on Feb. 19 ... posted a career-high six rebounds vs. Northern New Mexico on Nov. 27 ... averaged five minutes per game and shot 50 percent from the field.
FRESHMAN ~ (2009-10): Played in two games on the season for UVU ... picked up five boards and scored one point on a made free-throw.
Before Utah Valley ... Prepped at Spanish Fork High School ... lettered in three sports at SFHS (basketball, soccer and track & field) ... received the Most Inspirational Athlete Award ... was a Honorable Mention Award Winner in basketball ... was awarded the Most Improved Track & Field Athlete ... her school track team took back-to-back State Titles as well as Region ... she placed second in State in the Discus.
Personal ... Graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2008 with a 3.5 GPA ... expected major at UVU is Exercise Science ... enjoys to cook and paintball ... is also a thrower on the UVU track & field team ... parents are Christopher and Patricia Sanborn.
