Orem, Utah - For the first time in the school's five-year NCAA history, Utah Valley women's basketball will travel into ACC country when the team plays at powerhouse Duke on December 18th.

The schedule also includes Seton Hall of the Big East, at home on November 21st, three Utah schools and the year-end Division I Independent Championship.

"Our schedule this year will be very challenging," said head coach Cathy Nixon. "We feel it is important in our vision for our program here at Utah Valley to play teams that are respected and successful on a national level. We are looking forward to the challenge and the chance to measure our progress against some of the best."

Utah Valley will play 13 out of 28 games at home, beginning on November 9th against Mesa State and November 10th against Cal State Fullerton.

Following the two home contests, the Wolverines will play the first of three in-state road games at Southern Utah on November 15th. UV will also play at Utah State (November 24) and BYU (December 8).

"This season's schedule is by far the most difficult we've had in five years, especially in the way of name recognition," said Director of Athletics Mike Jacobsen. "I'm anxious to see the progress of our program and the opponents this year will certainly test that."

On November 30 and December 1st, Utah Valley will compete at the Air Force Classic against Ohio and either Air Force or Hampton.

Following road contests at Montana State and BYU, the Wolverines will host Portland before traveling to Durham, North Carolina for the game at Duke.

The schedule will conclude with 10 consecutive games against fellow D-I independents, culminating with the Independent Championship March 6-8 in Edinburg, Texas.
