Four teams from the state of Utah will do battle at the tournament, as UVU will go up against fellow in-state foes SUU, Weber State and Dixie State. In all, 12 teams will enter this year's field as the Wolverines will also face off against Creighton, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Idaho State, Montana State, North Dakota, Oral Roberts and South Dakota State.

Two weeks ago, Utah Valley took 11th out of 18 teams at NAU's Red Rocks Invitational that was contested at the OakCreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz. The Wolverines shot 57-over at the 36-hole tournament to earn the 11th-place finish.

Redshirt freshman Kimberly Nyhus led the way for UVU, by shooting 11-over par. Her 155 (77 & 78) was good enough for 28th place at Red Rocks. Junior Brooke Whittaker, who leads the squad on the season with a 77.39 scoring average, was next for the Wolverines as she tied for 40th with a +13. After firing a 74 during the opening 18, Whittaker finished her tournament with an 83 for a two-day total of 157.

Following the SUU Invite, UVU will remain in St. George for the BYU at Entrada Classic that will be held next Monday and Tuesday at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club.
