OREM, Utah -- Along with being named to the All-Great West Conference First Team, Utah Valley University freshman golfer Lynn-Marie Nagel was named the conference's newcomer of the year as released by the league office Wednesday.

Junior golfer Jordyn Dougal was named to the second team, and Sue Nyhus was named the GWC Coach of the Year.

Nagel, who shot a opening-round 69 at the Great West Conference Championship last month, was the top medalist, edging out Houston Baptist's Lou Hing by one stroke.
