2013-14 UVU Women's Golf Schedule

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley University women's golf coach Sue Nyhus released her 2013-14 schedule on Monday and it features 10 regular season tournaments, the hosting of the Hobble Creek Invitational in September and will culminate with the team's first WAC Championships in April.

"We are very excited for the opportunity to compete this season. Our schedule will provide us the chance to play most teams in the West," Nyhus said.

"We return to several courses where we performed well last year. We also have the opportunity to start out at home with the Hobble Creek Invitational (Sept. 9-10). The conference championship will also have new meaning this season as a win will advance our team to the NCAA Regional Tournament."

The 10 regular season tournaments will be spread out over five different states, with five taking place in the fall and five more being played in the spring.

UVU will begin the season at Davis Park Golf Course in Layton, Utah, for the Wildcat Invitational on Aug. 30. The Wolverines will then co-host the Hobble Creek Invite, Sept. 9-10, at Hobble Creek Golf Course in Springville, Utah.

Utah Valley will head to Kuna, Idaho, the following week to take part at Boise State's Bronco Fall Classic before heading to New Mexico for the Price's Give `Em Five Classic, Oct. 7-9 at the NMSU Golf Course. UVU will then close out the fall season in Hawai'i at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Leilehua Golf Course Oct. 29-31.

In the spring, the Wolverines will head to Arizona in consecutive weeks to play at the Grand Canyon Invitational, Feb. 24-25 at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, and at the Red Rocks Invitational March 1-2 at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona.

UVU will then play back-to-back weeks in St. George, Utah, as they will take part in the SUU Invitational at Sunbrook GC March 12-13 and the BYU at Entrada Classic March 17-18 at Entrada at Snow Canyon. The Wolverines will then close out the regular season by competing at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic April 7-8 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.

Utah Valley, who officially joined the Western Athletic Conference a week ago, will compete for its first WAC title at the WAC Championships, April 25-27, at Longbow GC in Mesa, Ariz. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Regionals that take place May 8-10.
