Women's soccer opens preseason with pair of exhibitions Saturday night

Saturday will feature both of Wolverine soccer's preseason traditions: the Green & White Game and the Alumni Game.

At Utah Valley ...

JUNIOR ~ (2007): Played in all 20 games, starting 19 ... was named the United Soccer Conference's Offensive Player of the Year ... led all USC attackers with eight goals and 18 points on the season ... set the Utah Valley individual school record for career goals and career points when she scored two goals in the Wolverines 5-1 victory over Howard Sept. 27 ... played in 1,362 minutes, most among UV attackers and third on the team overall ... was a team captain ... had two assists on the season to go along with her eight goals ... led the team in shots with 57 and shots on goal with 31 ... scored one game winner on the year and three first goals ... scored a goal on two shots against Southern Utah in UV's season-opening tie against the Thunderbirds ... had an assist at Wyoming ... scored two goals at Howard ... scored one goal at South Carolina State ... had a goal and an assist in the Wolverines 5-1 win over Delaware State ... scored two goals in UV's United Soccer Conference victory over NJIT and scored agoal in the Wolverines tournament final win over Longwood ... was named the USC Tournament Most Valuable Player and named to the All-Tournament team ... named First Team All-United Soccer Conference ... earned USC Player of the Week on Sept. 4.

SOPHOMORE ~ (2006): Played and started in all 19 games ... logged 1,206 minutes, tops among returning players ... had three goals and three assists ... is six points away from setting the school record for career points, held by Carolyn Theurer (37) ... is two goals away from setting the school record for career goals ... scored goals against South Dakota State, SUU and Tulsa ... assists came against Delaware State, Idaho State and Idaho ... scored two game-winners ... third on the team in shots with 28 ... tied for third on the team with her three goals ... scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Wolverines to a 3-2 win over Southern Utah Oct. 21 ... recorded two goals and one assist in UV's final four games.

FRESHMAN ~ (2005): Named to the United Soccer Conference All-Tournament team ... named to the United Soccer Conference Academic Honor Roll ... named United Soccer Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals and talling three assists against IPFW and Delaware State... had 10 goals and five assists in her first year at Utah Valley ... scored two goals in one game against California-Baptist, IPFW and Delaware State ... also tallied goals against Portland State, Nevada, Howard and IPFW ... had three assists against Delaware State, one against Howard and one against UTEP.

Before Utah Valley ...
Prepped at Bingham High School where she played foward and midfielder ... earned All-State honors in soccer ... named Female Athlete of the Year at Bingham High School ... also played basketball.

Graduated from Bingham High School in 2005 with a 3.6 GPA ... majoring in exercise science ... chose to attend Utah Valley because she likes the school and soccer program ... recruited by Dixie State, Snow and CEU ... parents are Ken and Shirlene Wright ... married to Aaron Clough.
